Eric & Ai Wa Wedding Ceremony
Eric, my friend and two-time ex-colleague got married last month, and I was honoured to be the main photographer to cover his wedding. Out of the typical Chinese wedding, here's some shots that I like.
This was taken when Eric help Ai Wa remove her hair pins. This shot feels more natural than those taken during the makeup session, as the bride is in a more relaxed state.
This shot was taken when the bride just finished with her makeup. With the chair behind the bride, which she has sat for about 2 hours for the makeup.
Grabbing the gown as she walks around, this shot indicates that the bride is ready with her makeup and are walking about.
This shot taken through the house entrance to the living room, the sisters are having a discussion on how to tackle the groom and the brothers when they arrive later.
Happy with the negotiations, one sister shows me the "contract" agreed by Eric, signed with his kiss, as the other sisters opens the front gate and let Eric and the brothers in.
Brothers have to sing the song "A whole new world" while working on the push ups.
Ai Wa, looking joyous as Eric unveils her in her room.
Ai Wa's mother helping her to wear a necklace, as the bride's maid help lifting the veil.
As Malaysia enforce the rear seat belts rule (finally), the couple adhere to the law , and pose for this shot.
Both couple cracking together on a joke, while giving ang pows to younger relatives.
Final shot of the day, with the couple wearing the matching indoor slippers.
